16 week old sleep pattern drastically changed
My little one is nearly four months old. For the past month, he’s been going down for sleep between 7:30 and 8:00 PM, waking for a feed anytime between 2:00 and 5:00 AM, and starting his day around 7:30 or 8:30 AM. His daytime naps weren't great, usually ranging from 20 to 45 minutes about four times a day.
However, this last week things have changed drastically. His daytime napping is now great; he’ll take a 1.5 to 2-hour nap after his morning wake-up and again after his second bottle, with wake windows lasting about 1.5 hours. He then takes two shorter 30 to 40-minute naps later in the day.
Unfortunately, his nighttime sleep has regressed. He still goes down at 7:30 or 8:00 PM, but he’s up multiple times between 10:00 and 11:00 PM looking for his dummy, followed by feeds at 12:30 AM and 4:00 AM. We’re then up for the day by 6:30 or 7:00 AM. He usually wakes up screaming until he gets his dummy or a bottle. He has also started screaming through some daytime feeds, especially when he’s most alert. Since he has bad reflux, he hasn't learned to self-soothe yet; he usually falls asleep while feeding, and I hold him upright for 20 minutes before putting him down.
Aby advice does this sound like the 4 month sleep regression im confused because his daytime napping has improved. I'm also not sure how to help him learn to self settle if I have to hold him upright for so long and he has always fallen asleep whilst eating at night since he was a newborn.
