I’ve heard folks ask about methods to apply wax to foundation, either after cleaning or just to add a better foundation to interest the bees.

I boil an old pot with water and bees wax. Use a small paint roller to dip and apply to my foundation. I roll out dipping multiple times per frame. I am not picky about coverage, sometimes it is heavy and others just lightly coated. It has always worked for me, the bees have always taken to it easily. Sugar syrup just was not consistent, this has been for me.

Not that location matters, but I am in the Northeast, Massachusetts.
