I’m sure there are more than this, but for the longest time all i knew was that arcadia and reptisun were the only 2 reliable brands. Just recently exoterra came out with their uvb300/200/100 lines of bulbs with actual independent test data to back them up. I always used to use reptisun (all i could find in canada) and recently switched to exoterra after it was $20-$30 cheaper at my local reptile store and the owner said they seemed pretty good.

Now i’ve never really looked at any of these closely enough to judge, and not all the charts are terribly well labeled (arcadia being the exception in their data sheet). from what i can tell, my ranking now seems to be Arcadia>Exoterra>Reptisun based of how much of that lower end of the uvb spectrum it captures especially.

Now i’m thinking, based off all this, i should find a good supplier for Arcadia bulbs… except now i would have to order online. that makes me worry if the bulbs might be used or damaged in shipping in some way? any thoughts or suggestions on what i should do?
