My uni just wrapped up; our terms end early. I thought things went well, but I should have started studying earlier. Anyone else hyped for summer classes?

I've been mulling buying some lately, but I've heard mixed things. I'm a bit more of a pen gal, and I feel these would be right up my alley. Anyone tried 'em?

I'm a little new to pens. I know some people make their own ink for fountain and dip pens, but does anyone do it for ballpoints? Like, is there a method to refill cartridges, or should I just swallow the cost and buy a pack of refills?

update: found a technique on Anna's archive describing how to refill a ballpoints cartridge with fountain pen ink (using a high-gauge syringe and briefly removing the ball). Looks impractical, and the author advises horizontal storage. It's a pity.
