Where I am living at there is a very good company to work for!
3 years ago I moved acrossed the state and there It's a manufacturing plant down the street from where I live. I have a friend that works there and I have been looking at the company's website and what they offer. It's a very good company to work for and they offer excellent benefits, competitive pay, and workplace environment. My friend has worked there for 7 years and he loves it. A normal workday there is 12 hour shifts day and night. You get 4 days on and 4 days off. One day one you're hired you're immediately eligible for all your PTO, all benefits, and pay, when you're hired you get a $1500 sign on bonus. You immediately get 3 weeks of vacation, both parental and maternity leave and it's both 18 weeks off, sick pay, 401k of 6%, Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance, Short- & Long-Term Disability, tuition reimbursement, 401k match of 6%, 12 Paid Holidays per year, annual bonus earning potential, annual merit increases that doesn't cap, access to free on-site health services, free on-site gym, free candy, discounts on foods made by the company, and the crazy part is you get even more benefits and pay info than what I listed here.
My friend who works there, we were at dinner with family we haven't seen in a while and he was sharing all the benefits, pay, and the work environment. My cousins were shocked by all the things he was telling them. According to my cousin he says that these benefits, competitive pay, and PTO are across all departments not just 2 or 3. You can take vacation multiple times in a year with no cap, you'd just need to put in a two week notice. When you leave for sick time, parental, Maternity or whatever paid leave, you still receive 100% of your full pay. My cousins mouth dropped and he said "man, they take care of you guys!" He said the company certainly gives them a lot of time off work when they choose.
