This last chapter had me in SHAMBLES, but I’m so conflicted about whether they should end up together.
On one hand, I feel like way too many people excuse Jaekyung. He r*ped Dan on multiple occasions in Season 1(yes, Dan “agreed,” but that was literally coercion, hesitation isn’t consent). He abused, manipulated, and tormented him, and then was cut up when Dan finally started realizing his worth. I was honestly disgusted in the first season because of how genuinely evil he was. People were wayyy quick to move on once he started doing the literal bare minimum in season two.
I understand his upbringing was painful, but NONE of that excuses what he did to Dan. He doesn’t deserve him at all.
But on the other hand, they clearly play a huge role in each other’s healing. They really are each other’s people. I feel like they’re inevitably going to end up together, but I need to see Jaekyung ON HIS KNEES breaking down and BEGGING for Dan’s forgiveness and even that might not be enough. The newest chapter was soo good and I was so happy to see him FINALLY cry for that man. Also, what he did to Jumin WAS NOT ENOUGH!😭
