Hung up on a sext buddy
I recently met this guy here on Reddit and we started chatting. This is an alt account, so don’t question why it’s only a day old. I made this account just to post this confession and get it off my chest.
So this guy and I live miles apart from each other, and he did say from the start that he was looking for a sext buddy. We started chatting, and he was honestly one of the nicest people to talk to. We had a lot in common, he always complimented me, and the sexting was great.
After 2 weeks of constantly chatting, he suddenly laid low, became distant and started replying less. He said it was because of a change in his work schedule.
He’s also in his 20s and 10 years younger than me. It just felt weird because those 2 weeks were really nice. We even made plans about what to do online and what we’d do if we ever met up.
We still chat, but it feels very low effort now. Sometimes I stop messaging him for 3 days just to see if he’ll initiate contact, but he never does. And since I still want to keep in touch, I eventually end up messaging him again.
I guess I just didn't expect to get emotionally attached to someone I originally only saw as a sext buddy.
