Hey everyone,

I’m an Australian citizen applying to RMIT University from abroad and I’ve already submitted my application. Recently, I got an email asking me to upload my academic transcripts.

The issue is that my school doesn’t allow students to access or possess their transcripts directly. Because of that, my college counselor has already sent my transcript via email to the admissions team (admissions@rmit.edu.au).

I’m not sure if this is the correct or accepted way for RMIT to receive transcripts, and I’m a bit confused about what I’m supposed to do next since I can’t upload them myself.

I tried using the live chat on the website, but it just kept sending me in circles without giving a clear answer.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows how this usually works? Should I follow up with RMIT, or ask my counselor to send it in a different way?

Hello!

recently applied directly to RMIT for a mid-year (Semester 2) intake as a domestic student doing IB (Northern Hemisphere timetable), and I had a few questions about the process.

  • I submitted my application + supporting documents + personal statement
  • But I was never asked to upload final transcripts or predicted grades
  • My IB finals are coming up, so I obviously don’t have final results yet

I’m a bit confused about how RMIT handles this because:

  1. Is it normal that they didn’t ask for transcripts or predicted grades?
  2. Will they ask for predicted grades later, or do they just give a conditional offer based on what I’ve already submitted?
  3. How long does RMIT usually take to respond for domestic direct applications (mid-year intake)?
  4. What should I expect next, conditional offer, request for more documents, or just waiting until IB results?
