Took my mom and daughter to see opening night of the SUFFS National Tour last night at DMPA. The only thing I knew about the show was from what I saw on the Tony Awards a few years ago. I was totally blown away and pleasantly surprised by what I heard and saw. Everyone needs to run and see this tour before it leaves! The all female cast were spectacular actors and singers-the Inez, Ida B Wells, and Alice Paul were our favorites. I found out after the show that we had seen an understudy as the lead Alice Paul (Jenna Lea Rosen, per the cast sign). My daughter and I both thought she was unbelievable-her voice was beautiful and powerful, and she had us all in tears at the end. March over to DMPA and see SUFFS!
