Ira loved film school, but there was something about it that was so exhausting. Recently, her professor had tasked the class with a mini-horror movie, but Ira was struggling. She had the inspiration, and her friends had agreed to star in her mini-movie, but she didn’t know how to get the effects right. Some of the scenes just looked as if it were just cheap paint splattered on the walls.
Her movie was falling apart, and Ira didn’t have a clue how to frame a horror movie! So she went searching online, when Google brought her to a recent rally post where the poster had shared the link to their own website. Everything was so…realistic. It had the gore and horror elements in it. This was just what she needed.
Over the next few days, Ira watched more videos at night. Well in the day, she set up her set and got all the right angles.
On Saturday night, Ira received an email from her professor. When she clicked on it, the email read: “I really liked your movie, Ira! Everything looked so realistic, it activated my fight or flight! I think you're definitely going to go far in the film-making industry.”
What was he talking about? Ira hadn’t submitted anything yet. She emailed him back: “What are you talking about? I’m not even done with my movie yet.”
Not long after she emailed him, Ira got an email back rather quickly from her professor: “Is this not your work?” Attached to his email was a link to a video.
When Ira clicked on the link, it took her back to the website, the same one she had been using, except this time there was a new video. Obviously, she clicked on it.
To her surprise, it was her set! How did they get onto her set? A feeling of dread washed over her body. This was weird even for her, but she couldn’t bring herself to stop watching.
The video showed her friends Zach and Jenny standing there in their costumes, chatting with one another. The camera got closer and closer until the person behind the camera approached them. It was just like the other videos on the website.
It started with Jenny and Zach being chased before the camera operator turned out the lights. Ira could hear Jenny let out an ear-splitting shriek and Zach grunt.
When the lights came back on, everything was a bloody mess, with Zach's and Jenny’s bodies spread out all over the set.
A chill ran down Ira’s spine as she figured out why it had all looked so real, from the sets to the blood splatters. Every single video was real…the people in the videos were really dead.
It wasn’t just amazing acting but real reactions. It was the best movie anyone could ask for. They were the final moments.
Hope u had a nice read! I do appreciate any constructive criticism (´-﹏-`;)(ʘᴗʘ✿)
