Is it the kiss of death and no one will date you?

Our recent college graduate son is having to move back in with my husband and I into our apartment because his roommate situation fell through. He is really upset and says no one will date a guy who lives with his family. I'm thinking in this economy and in this city, it's not that crazy. Or am I wrong and he's right?

We're white upper middle class - I know in some cultures guys in their twenties living at the family house is normal but it's not for the people we know. And we aren't rich enough to pay for him to live in a place alone. He just graduated and is looking for a job.

Is it as bleak as he's painting it?
