My scheduled phone assessment was cancelled on the day because the assessor was off sick. I was offered a same-day replacement call but with no set time.

I wasn’t told I had to stay by my phone all day, wasn’t warned about missed call attempts, and wasn’t told I needed to call back within 30 minutes.

I later rang them and was told it had been marked as a missed appointment. I’ve challenged this with DWP and it has now been referred back to the assessment provider.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get rebooked in this situation? Am I likely to wait the full 8 weeks again, or is it usually quicker?
