I am wondering if any of you with better knowledge of plants and gardening in Arizona than I, can help me out with this? I appreciate any suggestions.

I am looking for ideas for small outdoor potted plants. This is for a corner outside my front door that gets a few hours of direct morning sunlight during the warm months and no direct sunlight during the cold months (I could move the plants during the cold time of year if need be). I read that snake plants might do well but also read conflicting information about how they can handle direct sunlight in warm months. I am also open to anything being planted whether inedible or not. I have attached photos of the pots I plan to use.
