Hey everyone,

I wanted to share something that’s been happening to me personally, and I have a feeling I’m not the only one.

Multiple times now, people have taken my candle-making videos (including my face, my hands, my actual content) and used them to promote and sell online courses… without my permission.

I’ve reached out to some of these accounts directly, asking them to remove my content, and they’ve either ignored me or straight up refused.

What’s even more frustrating is that these videos start gaining serious traction, millions of views, while they’re profiting off something we created.

🚨 This isn’t just reposting

This is people:

  • Using our identity and content
  • Pretending it’s their own knowledge
  • Selling courses built on stolen material

I really think this is happening to more candle creators than we realize, most people just haven’t come across it yet.

So instead of this being just a warning, I’d love to turn it into something useful for all of us.

🧾 My plan (if people are interested)

I’m thinking of creating:

  • A shared Google Doc where we can list suspicious accounts/courses
  • A kind of “watch list” of known scammers, so we can be able to report them to tiktok and instagram
  • And if mods are okay with it, maybe even a pinned resource for the community

🔍 If you’re a creator, it might be worth checking

  • Reverse search your videos or screenshots
  • Look through TikTok/Instagram ads for candle courses
  • Pay attention to content that looks familiar but isn’t credited

If you’ve experienced this, or if you’ve seen anything suspicious, please share it below. Even if you’re not sure, it could help someone else.

Two accounts that are doing this right now are: @ emprendeconvelitas and @ aprendeconvelas

Has anyone else here dealt with this?
