For context my bike has 33k miles and this issue only began after installing new sparkplugs and coil packs, i dont have any service history on anything as it was essentially a barnfind
About 2 weeks ago my bike started to randomly cut off at idle (Lights would stay on but engine just died).
Today it died at at an intersection (this time everything turned off including the lights)
I tried to bumpstart it and the dash would flicker and I’d hear the engine want to start but no dice. If I waited a minute or so the lights would come back on but Id get one good rotation from the starter and itd cut off again. I pushed it towards my friends house and hooked up a battery pack and it started right up.
My question is if this sounds like a stator or rectifier issue or maybe just a bad battery? I won’t be able to work on it for awhile so I figured if it sounds like an obvious solution I can just buy the part I need so ill be ready to fix it whenever I have the chance to
