With the new Sparking Zero DLC, there's been a lot of buzz about which characters will be included that haven't yet been revealed.
Currently, 28 characters, plus Videl's Great Saiyaman 2 costume, have been announced, and since the announcement states there will be more than 30 new characters, that implies between 31 and 39, most likely 36 or 37.
Everyone has their preferences, and even if two or three BT3 characters are ultimately left out of this DLC, it's still confirmed that all BT3 characters are programmed into the character ID list, with the possibility of adding more than 50 characters in the future, including transformations.
The problem is that Dragon Ball is a huge franchise, and therefore we fans are forming expectations about which characters would be best to include in this large and evolving fighting game. Unfortunately, the ID numbering system means there's a limited number of inclusions, and if you include characters from the manga, video games, and special guests from the anime and movies, that number is exceeded (unless they're included with a new numbering system outside the spaces, as happened with DAIMA).
Therefore, based on an exhaustive search and my own personal preferences, I've prepared a list of all the numbered characters that I believe will eventually be added to the game, either with individual DLC or a major update similar to the one for Super Limit Breaking Neo, which is highly anticipated next year.
The only ones in yellow are those that will be added in the Neo DLC, and those in red are the ones I've added. Along with the white ones already in the game, that makes almost 300 characters in total. Take a look at the list, and if you think there's a character from outside the manga and video games that should be added instead of another, comment and suggest a replacement.
