22M, first time cat owner. I didn’t plan to adopt a cat, but long story short she was going to be put down and I caved. We are from USA, she is spayed and everything up to date. I’m worried I’m over feeding her and going to cause her issues.
I’ve been feeding her the recommended amount by my vet (1 3oz can + 1/3 cup light kibble a day), but she really just doesn’t move a lot. She is also a smaller cat to be fair, she was just over 8 pounds when I adopted her. She’s 8 years old, and I play with her 2 times a day for maybe 10 minutes, typically with a wand toy. Even when we play, she will just watch it unless I bring it close enough. She doesn’t really chase. Thank you!
