I am currently looking to more future proof my build with some minor upgrades,
Im fairly new to pc upgrading so some details would be great.
Current parts that im looking at upgrading are:
MOBO: Asus B760M AYW
CPU: Intel i5-12400f
Main reason for this change to to get off LGA1700 and move to AM5 for better future upgrades (seen next generation may be using the same socket?)
Trying to keep some aesthetics going with an all white build so ive decided to go with
MOBO: Gigabyte B850M EAGLE ICE MATX
My main concern is figuring out which CPU would be worth the upgrade to last a few years.
I mainly use my PC for 1440p gaming and occasionaly use it for work, drawing and rendering CNC projects.
Current budget for CPU is 400-600NZD
Currently I could get an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X OEM @ $419
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X @ $435
AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D @ $550
or AMD Ryzen 7 9700X OEM @ $579
Any other recommendations for CPUs would be appreciated
Used market in my country isnt the best for PC parts so kinda gotta go brand new
