THIS is a sharing tool for whatever your sharing right now.

THE ELEVATOR PITCH

Network like a boss. Punctuate your in-person pitch with a seamless digital handoff.

CHECK THIS OUT

Use permanent or disposable links and QR codes that point at whatever is important RIGHT NOW.

SELF DESTRUCT MODE

Create a link with a set expiration and drop in a one-time secret that disappears when it's time is up.

SAFETY FIRST

Share something with a stranger or new acquaintance without exchanging sensitive contact info.

BIG BRAIN

Upload an HTML file and host a branded bio with links to everywhere you can be found, or add some javascript and chain multiple HTML slots together for full blown (permanent or disposable) web experiences — no traditional hosting required.

THIS is not only convenient file access, it is flexible, multi-purpose content hosting. It's Digital every day carry.

Looking for android testers! iOS testing is open too if you are interested in trying it. Curious what people think of the concept. I'm using it for smooth portfolio handoffs when networking, but I built it to kinda be a Swiss army knife. Just a simple, flexible, free tool.

I built THIS. It holds whatever you need it to and lets you share it in-person in 1-tap. Please enjoy a demo of John Halo's THIS experience.

I was laid off from my first Software Development role back in February. I’d been there for 8 years, and because I basically only worked on one product professionally, my resume and portfolio were... thin.

Since then, I’ve been building non-stop to keep my skills sharp and now I actually have something to show.

It’s an app called THIS. I built it because I needed a way to keep my most up to date resume and portfolio instantly accessible and a smooth way to share “me” in any situation. My resume, my current projects, my contact info, whatever, but without the awkward "panic scroll" through Google Drive or files while I’m trying to talk to someone.

The Concept: Digital Every Day Carry Like the word "this", the app is meant to hold whatever is important right now. Each file has its own designated page for quick access and easy sharing. Think of it like a Apple/Google Wallet, but for anything.

A core part of the design is that you aren't sharing the content; you’re sharing the container (a "slot"):

  • Stable Links: If I share a link to my "Portfolio" slot, that link never changes.
  • Live Overwrites: When I update my portfolio, I just overwrite the slot. Everyone with the link automatically sees the latest version. No more "Wait, use this version instead" emails.
  • Built-in QR: Each slot has its own QR code. At a meetup, I just pull up the "Resume" slot and let them scan it.

It’s meant for "strutting your stuff," not just hosting files. Instead of just a download link, it actually renders the content in the slot. PDFs are scrollable previews, GIFs autoplay, and video/audio play directly in a native player. Media files can be used as shortcuts, so you can keep the the app looking sharp while still keeping the content functional.

The "Dev" part of it: It supports raw HTML. My own portfolio is just a raw HTML file I dropped into a slot. It renders as a standard web page, and I can even run JS on it. Anyone who visits the link sees it as a webpage, because it is one. This opens up a lot of advanced use cases, but I won’t get into those here.

Privacy & Control: You have total control over visibility (Public, Private, or Secret) and how long it stays live (from 1 hour to Permanent).

It’s simple, utilitarian, and free. I hope some of you find it useful when promoting your own stuff.

I really need Android testers. I’m in limited public testing for iOS [Link Here], but I’m struggling to find enough Android folks. If you’re on Android and willing to help me break things, please DM me your Google Play email so I can add you.

As a thank you: Anyone who helps me test this will get lifetime premium benefits (more slots, larger capacity, custom URLs, etc.) once it’s fully live.

I’d love to hear what you guys think, or dig into some of the advanced use cases. Happy to talk about the implementation too if you're interested.
