Good day all,
I thought I'd throw my lot into this contest, with a little salty dit flair for the vicariously inclined.
Life at sea is going to be different for everyone, depending on the kind of vessel they're on, their position, and other boring things like climatology, time between ports, quality of the most recent stores, and in the modern era access to QoL internet services. I've only got a little under 500 cumulative days at sea, so I'm still plenty green and learning new things every day (usually things I forgot).
Preface over, I'd like to invite you to take a gander at my silly rack. This coffin-sized nook is where I've lived for the past few months, and will continue to live for the next few months. I like to use my Pros to watch movies and game during my off-watch, if I'm not racked out. We're living in a modern electric age (at least that's what we tell the public) so there's no real shortage of screens or sources of entertainment onboard. We even have "highspeed QoL wifi" that's faster and more reliable than the work-only service provider. But it's nice to be able to have a big screen on demand that I don't have to share with either my cabinmates or the mess, it puts me in control in a period of my life where I don't have a whole lot of it, short as that time may be. I don't use the whole setup as much as I'd like, but when I do it's almost like I'm not stuck on the other side of the world from home.
That about wraps up my little blog. I hope you're all staying safe and responsible out there, wherever and whomever you are.
Sincerest regards,
Mr. Burnt_Toaster_Fuel9
