Im having an issue with the new GPS tracking functionality in QGIS 4.0. It keeps dropping out or losing signal every minute or so and i have to disconnect/reconnect to the gps every time.

Anyone else having this issue or know how to troubleshoot it?

I am familiar with mapping like this with ArcMap - the tracking stays on and you can record polylines.

I am mapping with a new panasonic tablet with a Sierra wireless snapdragon X7 LTEA NMEA gps.

There does not seem to be an issue with the GPS viewer it is tracking all the satellites fine.
