Members of the Graduate Employee Organization, or GEO, here! We recently celebrated the “birthday” of our bargaining efforts by cutting a cake on the picket line. We have been negotiating for a new contract for over a year and have been working without one since August because the university administration has refused to budge on key issues such as wages and healthcare. Because bargaining has not progressed on these central concerns, we are striking for a fair contract. We know that many people have questions about the strike. We would like to answer them here under this post.
