Obama “Library”
I have to travel for work this summer, so I got my tickets for the new President Obama Center in Chicago.
Obviously, I love Presidential Libraries, though I expect this to be the most different.
Has anyone been to the pre-openings or the media days and have an idea what to expect?
(I’m going regardless)
I’m thinking it might be a bit like The Carter Center in that it’s a working venue with people on sight, but it seems to have a lot of “democracy forward” study and community stuff that actually reminds me of how they run the LBJ library?
I’ll be happy to share my thoughts when I go
(I know rule 3 says I can only share as our current President that Obama is)
Presidential libraries and Centers are my favourite, so I’m very excited to get to this one is it’s earliest days.
Anyone else near by or making a trip?
