I have an odd favor to ask of you folks who enjoy flooring
I have a family member who has worked in flooring for over fifty years. He absolutely loves his trade and it’s one topic that he’ll happily engage in for any amount of time. I asked him what his favorite hardwood was to make conversation one time and he threw an encyclopedia worth of information at me.
He’s currently in the hospital and needs a little perking up and engagement. What are some questions I can ask him to get that floor lovin brain of his moving and get him chatty? Any common debates about “what’s better” or “use this or that for this type of job”? Any nuances of the job I could bring up to catch his ear? If all you guys were just sitting around a table with flooring as your topic, what would you be saying to each other to get some laughs or engagement?
He’s not a big tv guy, but maybe even any YouTube recs that I could toss on for him when I’m not available to chat?
