I just shot like 15 talking head videos today, and AF human/face/eye tracking worked great all day. But in the last two interviews, the AF kept switching between showing cross hairs, to just showing the yellow square around the face. The lighting and composition wasn't any different in any of the interviews, and I was wondering why this started happening, and should I be worried about the focus being off?

I was wondering, for those of you who shoot talking heads with the S5II, and use autofocus, do you usually use human/face/eye detect? And when you do, is the camera supposed to only display a yellow box around the subject with cross hairs over the eye? Should the box every change color when you start recording, or does the yellow box with the cross hair mean it's already tracking and focusing on the subject?
When shooting video, I know that when a subject is being tracked and focused on, the subject is shown inside of a yellow box. But I've seen videos of people using af and it shows a green box while tracking. I was wondering, what is the difference between these two?

I watched some youtube tutorials, and now I'm a bit confused about how the panning function works for the DR70D. If I have 2 xlr microphones, plugged into channels 1 and 2, and my record mode is set to stereo, will each mic record only to the track it's plugged into, regardless of what I set the Pan mode to (either left 12, center, or right 12)? Or does adjusting the pan actually affect how much of each mic gets mixed into the stereo file? For example, if I set both channels' pan to center, will I get audio from both mics into both the left and right channels of the stereo track?
For anyone who uses the tascam dr70d, I had a question. Under the basic menu option, there's a Pan option that you can set to anywhere between Left 12 or Right 12. Is this just for monitoring, or does this actually affect the recorded mix. For example, if I set both channels to "center," will I get both microphones' audio recorded to both channels?
