Hello,

My 12 year old dog has been developing this line of hair loss on his back the last 1-2 weeks. It has been slowly getting longer and more visible.

My dog did have a spleenectomy to remove a tumor about 6 weeks ago at an ER vet. He has made a good recovery. He recently had all his vitals checked at Banfield which were good results. My parents failed to mention the streak of hair loss on drop-off and the vet thought it was just an accidental shave when I followed up. He says he doesn’t think it is anything immediately concerning, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience. When I google pictures of dog hair loss I haven’t seen anything as linear like this.
