I feel as if I’m going insane over this. In high school, around 2020-I read a book from my public library, where the main character works as a congressional staffer-goes to DC-and lives the fun and standard intern life. He meets and starts dating the daughter of an ambassador. There’s also like an element of intrigue and spy type stuff in it too.
I cannot for the life of me remember what book this was. Which is crazy considering immediately after reading it I wrote an gmail to my local senator asking to be an intern(he said no as I was a freshman in high school). (I also did eventually work for him after graduation). So this book inspired my entire career….and I can’t remember what it was

Please help
