So there’s me and my random roommate since 1st year of college (currently we’re in end of our 3rd year). As roommates we’ve gotten along pretty well I must say, at least from my pov. Recently after moving out and getting a flat together, we’ve made a small friend group with 2 girls next door. We hung out almost everyday, partying over the weekends, getting drunk and overall having a really fun time.
7 months later (currently) 3 other close friends of my roommate who I’ve been known since freshman year also moved out and we 7 (earlier 4) hung out quite often and always had a fun time meeting everyday.
Here’s the twist, now my buddy roomie has made a group-chat with everyone from the inner and outer circle but me. After finding out, I talked one of the girls who was within the 4 of us earlier and I got to know that, no one; Absolutely ‘NO ONE’ in the friend group (including 3 of my roomie’s friends) have a problem with me but my roommate. Everytime we hung out as a group he was behaving normal and friendly with me. Before i got to know about the group chat we already had signed up the lease together for next semester.
Why? Turns out he just doesn’t consider me as a friend close enough as much as he considers the rest and just hates me for little things i’ve done or said completely unintentionally.

Saved his ass from the dorms warden when he was blacked out in Sophomore year (showing up back to the dorms is against the rules in our dorms). Made sure he was safe and put him to bed despite him being an almost lifeless body way past our in-time. I also made sure to include him in every single party I threw for my birthday and every other occasion. I always saw him as a friend.

Now he’s talking shit behind my back and distancing me from our friends, the 2 girls and his 3 friends who never had any problem with me. I don’t wanna loose these friends cuz of him and this is the only friend group i’m part of. What do i do? Has anyone been in a similar situation before?
