So our oldest child grew out of his pair of Crocs. I bought him a new pair as well as a “random assortment” of generic crocs charms (25) to pick from.
I was being introspective while opening them - like the questioning inner dialogue kinda mindset where you have conversations in your head, test out theories, have hypothetical debates, that kind of thing. One of the “tabs” I had open in my mind at the time asked: “What would a spiritual / higher-power message look like in a Croc charm?” I responded in my own head “I don’t know, probably a God’s eye or something”. When I say “God’s eye” I mean the Nazar or “evil eye” - it’s a Mediterranean cultural symbol, possibly a derivative of the eye of Horus. I know it through learning of its connections to Coptic Christianity, hence calling it a God’s eye.
Anyway, guess what was at the bottom of the pile in my hand? Yes, a God’s eye Croc charm. Why would a seemingly random ancient cultural / religious symbol be made into a Croc charm?
I don’t claim to be special by any means - but if this is some kind of communication or something, then why can’t there be words? Is this some “deterministic nature of reality” kinda stuff? Did I somehow believe the God’s eye charm into existence?
Idk some of these questions sound ridiculous but then again the ridiculous happened.
Very interested to hear your thoughts on this. To me it falls very squarely into the “too crazy to be a coincidence” category.
