Over the course of weeks I am trapped alone in a gradually decaying world. Horrible invading creatures evolve and gradually become more complex and frightening with more numerous and pronounced features as they feed off of all the surrounding organic matter, buildings, and infrastructure, taking their time to weaken and distort myself and everything around me further from its original form while warping themselves into more twisted, more frightening and dangerous forms. They come at intervals and each time they come they torturously feed off of me and my surroundings, deteriorating everything around them while growing larger and sprouting new outgrowths, adding additional details to themselves, becoming more colorful, terrifying, and threatening right in front of me. They invade by breaking through my windows and during each invasion they wound me and damage all my surroundings while ensuring I witness all their destruction and evolution. This goes on and on day after day for weeks no matter where I try to find shelter to recover. 

One day an invader has become so detailed and far evolved, I am sure that the next time it comes it will finish me off. Even though I find deep unhealed gashes all over my legs and abdomen I run out into the street and see if I can find my way to my family before the creatures come back. All around me is dark and discolored, flickering dull green. As I cautiously creep my way through the streets of this desolation I begin to garner attention from the creatures but I notice they do not seem as hostile towards me anymore and even start greeting me. I make it to my family having a feast at a large table, being served by the creatures. I sit down with them. I see their faces and their mouths move but I cannot hear anything they say. I am still wounded and my world is still discolored and flickering green, inhabited by the creatures. That is when I wake up.
