I’m interested in learning more about the historical and ethnic origins of the people of Taounate. While the region is currently known for its "Jbala" culture and Arabic dialect, it’s widely understood that the roots of the population are Amazigh.

I’m trying to find more specific details: which Amazigh tribes or confederations do the people of Taounate descend from? Are they originally Zenata, Masmuda, or Ghomara? Or perhaps a mix of these and others?

If anyone has historical references, tribal maps, or DNA study insights regarding this specific area, I’d love to hear them.
