I took a crack at making 3d version of Rimworld bodies

it's nothing special. at first I tried to keep as accurate to the reference images as possible, but I realised that the proportions would just not fit in 3d, so I beat off the path and adjusted shape so that they look more human.

Main inspiration was Adam's Anomaly children video Thumbnail art, and 2xHOTDOGpls's style of models.

My 2nd time using the sculpting tab in blender, and my first time sculpting based off guides, instead of scultpting ABS into other people's models. Still W.I.P. hopefully clothes, and other body types turn out better. I also want to take a shot at feet and hands, for reasons of striking poses 😃

Can you fool the Archonexus Ending, by making a seperate high value settlement, or do you lose all settlements?

I saw Adam's Solo Pawn all endings playthrough and it got me back into rimworld, just to do this myself, with some tweaks.

I've been filtering through the toughest endings first, and I'm hardstuck between standard Friendly AI ship ending, and the archonexus.

My main concern is that for all the other endings, I would want a really good base, but idk if I should knock off the archonexus now, and find a good base space later, or save it for last.

so i wanted to see if anyone managed to overcome the whole loosing your base part, by just selling a different base off to the settlement.

I made this model of a Rimworld Autopistol a while ago. I made it by tracing the 2d image of the gun itself, then filing in the parts as a plane, extruding into a 3d cube and turning it into what it is now.

Normally the model works reasonably well, since I just use a Emmision shader with the texture

But for normal use, these shading artifacts look awful, I thought it was triangles, so I retolopogized the area, and while there still is a triangle, idk if its the thing causing the problem.

my normals should be fine, and so should be everything else, no stray vertices either so I'm kinda lost.

any ideas what is causing this, and how to fix this? Mind you this happens with all shading, regardless of the angle.

How can I get Object's rotation as a full 0 - 360 number, instead of flipping to negative at 180°?

I need to get the Z rotation from the self object, the problem is, every 180 degrees the number flips to -180 and vice versa. But I need it to be in a range of 0 to 360.

How can i go about this? I thought maybe changing from Euler to quaternion,or such would work, but this takes effect immedietly, so I can't for the life of me avoid it

Today I learned a Militor is pricy

I've started a solo colony with a naked Skill 0 in all pawn. Seeing as I struggle in combat due to low shooting skill and being all alone, FOREVER, I took on the Ancient mech and a single scyther while dosed up on go juice.

I decided a very cheap, colony defense would be an army of militors, cheap to produce, cheap to operate, cheap to sustain. I saw no drawbacks.

Today I finally opened up Visible Wealth mod, and saw that I had 4000+ value in weapons.
Seeing as I own a single good smg, I was confused.

Turns out Militors themselves are worth the advertised 800 silver, with a slight hidden cost of their shitty weapons costing more than the flipping mech itself.

So for anyone else, beware a Militor is a 1800 total value, not 800.

Anyways I will now get the mod that lets mechs wield weapons of my choosing, and give them a array of my shitty legendary unique revolvers

I do not understand why, but I suffer from a nausiating phobia of Being stung or pierced.

It goes for anything sharp and thin. Needles, bee/wasp/bug stingers, tattoo guns, piercing needles, piercings. Anything.

I suffered this since childhood, for essentially my whole life, and it is at minimum annoying, at worst it greatly impacts my physical health as I do not perform blood tests.

I would rather be slashed or stabbed, or even more prefeably hit/slapped, than to ever have a needle-like thing land on my skin.

I have ever been stung once by a wasp in the mouth, but i had this way before then, and I only ever drew blood a hand full of times.

When it comes to medication, I prefer orally injested tablets aswell or powder.

The only few times I took a needle is a really potent pain killer for dental work.
I fear the sharp pain more than the piercing/sting itself.

I'm able to pierce myself almost entirely fine unless theres a adverse pain to stop it, like getting your ears pierced, but I'd be able to inject myself perfectly fine with painkillers or draw blood if i had to, but the thought of it all just makes me shiver, shiver so deep into my core that I feel my stomach churn like its about to vomit.

Seeing as I am overdue for a lot of medical stuff, and exposure therapy seems to not work at all, is there anything else i can do? My only two solutions right now is a large amount of magnesium to handle my nerves better, and if it came to drawing blood, areal numbing cream.

but I have esesntially nothing to handle myself against it. if I ever wanted to get a tattoo, or worse getting piercing, or even worse a piercing outside the ears in a area like the belly button, I would literally fold, start crying and faint. It is pretty much the only thing that could finnesse anything out of me in a interrogation outside just straight torture, and I do not like it.

I am using the Freestyle lines to add lineart to certain models, primarily their sillouette.
Went with Freestyle since Solidify modifier would not work with my geometry, and greasepencil scarred me for life with several days of just ironing it out for every single model.

Freestyle was set up almost perfectly for individual objects, but when they overlap, the lines continue to get drawn in places they should be invisible. Is there a way to fix this?

My set up runs on 2 Sets. "Line" and "Fill".

Line is set to draw thick on the outside position, its the set that draws the actual lines.
Using the center or inside positions would lead to sharp corners missing lines, so this was the better of two evils.
Second i have "fill" set, which just adds a 1x thick line from the outside to inside to fill between what the Outside line set did not, which was only visible on really bright backgrounds, but its a super quick and nearly invisible fix.

Is there anything I can change, add or restructure to remove those overlaps?

I have this object composed out of 4 colors, dark grey, light gray, brown and darker brown.

I want this object to ONLY render with those 4 colors, however for a some reason, there is shading happening.

You can see in my example that there is the dark grey cylinder, and its front is a even darker shade, as if there was a shadow.

I have disabled specular, and put my texture at strenght 1 into the emmision catergory in my BSDF, but it still does this.

Is there anything else I can try?
