Pinhole test in visual acuity

Suppose the patients uncorrected visual acuity is 4/60 and then we use the pinhole test - should we check if they can read the smaller lines and say it improves to 4/36 or should it improve to 5/60 or even 6/60?

I understand that when we change the numerator, we should keep the denominator fixed at 60 - but I just wanted to clarify it once again just in case 😭😭
