i have had a handful of iphones for over 10 years. probably 15. maybe more.
i have had contacts on there for that entire time that have followed me through my phones through backups/transfers/whatever
today i see that all of my contacts are completely gone. and what’s even more strange is that contacts isn’t turned on in icloud. the only 4 contacts on my icloud from another device (macbook) weren’t even ones i had on my phone, so when i synced from there because contacts was on on my macbook, those 4 contacts came over.
they next tried to say it wasn’t them and that my contacts must be on a gmail server. so i delete my gmail account to re add it with contacts permissions on the google end. they sync over to my phone. 4 random emails i must have saved years ago. not my 100+ contacts.
so now this IS an apple issue and they are not willing to properly resolve this or find a way. and i don’t know what else to do because quite frankly, they aren’t being helpful.
does anyone else have a solution?!
