A local person I regularly bump into took this photo on his fancy camera a few months ago. I wanted to share. It's a stunning photo of my special girl, Lumi, 14 months old here.

January 2025, we brought home Lumi. We already had 4 cats and it did take a few months to be able to leave her unattended with them but outside of this, she was amazing.

We decided to ask on here a few months later for opinions on getting another. Through research, we agreed we would not get another female, and try to have almost a year between them in age.

They ended up having a 10 month age gap and were full blood siblings. We brought home Eddie in September :) Eddie is a big boy! And Lumi is teeny tiny, so the size difference is funny.

It's not always been easy, but I wouldn't change a thing. Lumi had her first heat season in September and was finally neutered in January 2026. Eddie was neutered April 2026. I wasn't 100% on neutering him, but his marking (including on my friends 😭) and escaping behaviours were getting really bad. His recall has already come back and he's doing great.

Sorry for the long post! Here is a picture of my babies. They get a 2 hour walk every day :) they are both obsessed with squeakers 😂 Lumi is fully white and Eddie has the typical marking of a Jack Russel.
