Im young and currently the head chef at a casial bistro. I thought casual was what i wanted but i find myself wanting to go back to highend. Ive been climbing the ranks ever so slowly until now i took over a restaurant and ive been doing good although theres a sense of unhappiness when i go home. Ive nevee really stayed at any restaurant past 2 years. Restaurants that i join that are new either lose that effort to push to get better or corporate start to piss me off with how they dont gaf about the employees with actual lives. Sometimes i just stick it out for a year for the sake of it and maybe for the resume. 10 years later im a head chef but i want to leave this restaurant after maybe a year or a year and a half aswell. I cant fucking stay at a place for a long time. The money at this new job is so good aswell but i cant justify just staying at a place just for money when im unhappy. The restaurant is running amazing, just regular stupid owners that dont know what they are doing. My resume both reads well and reads like shit cus of the dates. Has anyone experienced this aswell and any advice? Thanks
