I was laid off last week, I’ve known this was coming for a while and I was proactively looking for new work the past couple months. Today I received a job offer (yay me!) but it doesn’t start for two weeks. Can I still file for unemployment and if so am I exempt from the requirement of looking for work since I already have a job lined up?
