I’m from Kashmir and will be visiting Udaipur for a legal matter. Hoping it gets sorted quickly, so I might get some time to explore the city as well.
From what I’ve seen online, Udaipur looks beautiful lakes, palaces, old city vibes, cultural shows, etc. But I don’t want to waste time figuring things out last minute.
If I get a few free days, what are the must-visit places? Also, it would really help if you could mention best timings (like sunset, morning, show timings, etc.) so I can plan properly.
What I’m looking for:
Quiet lake spots / viewpoints (especially sunrise or sunset timings)
Old city walks that locals actually enjoy
Cultural experiences (dance/music) that feel authentic, not touristy
Unique shopping like handmade stuff, leather diaries, artisan markets, etc.
Slightly adventurous or different experiences (not typical tourist checklist)
Any hidden cafés or food places locals swear by
Would really appreciate suggestions from locals or anyone who’s been there recently 🙌
