Me and dhaka.
I came to Bangladesh years ago for my MBBS from Dhaka, thinking it would just be another chapter of life.
But somewhere between the chaotic streets, late night tea stalls, rickshaw rides, random conversations, and the warmth of people here, Dhaka slowly started feeling like home.
I’ve made memories here that I know I’ll carry forever.
Now I’m about to leave in around 4 months, and honestly, I feel like I still haven’t truly seen the city beyond the usual places.
So this is a random request to the people of r/dhaka:
If you know hidden spots, quiet places, old streets, rooftop cafés, local food places, forgotten corners, river views, bookshops, or anything that captures the real soul of Dhaka — let me know. Maybe we can even explore some together before I leave.
I don’t want my last memories of this city to just be hospitals, exams, and traffic. I want to remember the parts of Dhaka that locals quietly love.
