Hi everyone,

I built a small French practice tool focused on the naturalisation interview in France.

It’s not a general grammar app. The idea is to practise answering real oral-style questions in French, such as:

>Pourquoi voulez-vous devenir français(e) ?

It includes questions around personal motivation, integration, French values, civic life, institutions, and everyday administrative vocabulary.

I’m sharing it here because I’m curious whether this kind of practice could also be useful for advanced French learners, especially B1/B2+ learners who want to practise structured spoken answers.

I’d really appreciate feedback on:

  • whether the concept is clear
  • whether the oral practice format feels useful
  • whether model answers help or make it too passive
  • what would make you trust or not trust this kind of tool

I’m the person building it, so this is self-promotion in the sense that it’s my project. But I’m mainly looking for feedback, not trying to sell anything here.

Bonjour,

Hi everyone,

I’m currently going through the French naturalization process myself, and while preparing with the official Livret du citoyen and Charte des droits et devoirs, I found it hard to believe it was enough to prepare.

So I built a small free practice tool: https://capnationalite.fr

Full disclosure: this is my own personal project. It is not official, not affiliated with the French administration, and it does not replace the official sources. For now, it is free, and I’m mainly looking for feedback from people preparing for naturalization or who already went through the process.

What it does:

  • short exam-style practice questions, currently free to use without payment
  • immediate explanations
  • final score
  • themes to review, such as institutions, republican values, rights and duties, history, culture, etc.

I would really appreciate your feedback:

  • Are the questions useful?
  • Are the explanations clear?
  • Is anything important missing for the assimilation interview?
  • Would this have helped you when preparing?

Thanks!

PS. If this kind of post is not appropriate here, mods please feel free to remove it.
