Advice please! Acne, hirsutism, sugar cravings, etc.
Hello! I’m 21f diagnosed February 2026. I was struggling with acne, irregular periods, and hirsutism. I have a normal BMI. Blood work showed high DHEA-s. Haven’t had an ultrasound.
I was put on Alesse birth control and spironolactone in Feb but I was allergic to the spiro. My doctor then switched me to Yaz birth control which I’ve been on for 2 months now. Can’t say any of my symptoms have improved.
I’m wondering if anyone has any insights on improving acne, hirsutism, and sugar cravings. Also any experiences on Yaz? How long until symptoms improved?
I’m also going back to the doctor in a couple weeks for my follow up. Are there any tests etc that I should ask for to guide my treatments? I was so overwhelmed at the initial appointment I had no idea what to ask.
