I just had new landscaping put in last spring and had Ruby Slippers Hydrangeas planted in the front yard. A local landscaping and gardening store designed where all the new plants should go based on sun/shade etc (so it’s not like I just made an educated guess on what to plant 😀) This is how its growing back this year, is this normal? I live in Chicago, these are facing the east so they get a good amount of morning sun but it’s not full sun because of the trees in the front of the house and we’ve recently had a ton of rain over these past few weeks so I know it’s not dry. I was hoping these would grow to be big and beautiful! Thank you!
