My son (17 months old) had a reaction to augmentin back in January 2026, he had a short period of partial face paralysis after waking up from a nap which led us to the ER then a 2 night hospital stay. It was determined after a head scan, blood work etc. that it was most likely an allergic reaction to the augmentin.

Fast forward to now, we are scheduled to do augmentin testing next Friday with the allergist. They will give him augmentin every half an hour for 3 hours each time upping the dosage.

Anyone gone through this? It will be in a very controlled environment but definitely stressing this dad out.

Thanks!
