So, I’ve been pursuing this marble racing idea as my first multiplayer project. I got the idea from an AI-generated video. The main idea is to create a colorful game where you actually control the sphere, unlike traditional marble racing games where gravity does most of the work.

In my last post, some people suggested games like Hamster Ball and Marble Blast, and also recommended momentum-based obstacles for my game. My goal is to build something where at least 6 players can race at the same time.

  • Do you have any ideas to add?
  • Based on previous feedback, I added obstacles to slow down the leading players. The idea is to encourage collisions so players bounce around the track, giving those in last place a chance to catch up.
  • What would you like to see in a game like this?
  • Do you think this type of project has potential?
  • Do you know the right place to collect feedback, ideas and tips about game dev? (idk if here is the best place)

Thanks for your feedback!
Here’s a video of what I have so far (DEMO VIDEO)

Hi, I just started learning Unreal Engine and now i`m trying to make this demo for a marble race game. But instead of those games where u just let the gravity do all the work, here you can control your character (a ball) and race with your friends.

I got the idea from an AI video on Pinterest and thought it would be a funny idea to transform into a game. This is my main inspiration. But now that I spent a day at this track and physics i`m wondering if it will be fun to play or not.

Would u play a game with this idea?
What do u expect in a marble race game where you can control the ball?
Which obstacles/challenges would you like to see in a track?
Any advice for a beginner?

I`m expecting to make a racetrack demo for at least a dozen of players to race together.

Here is a video of what i have until now: https://youtu.be/vafS33Oems8

These are my inspirations for the game aesthetics: https://pin.it/3IBZkhCOu

I have other games in mind to use for inspiration. Thanks!
