How do you get flooring sorted when you’re broke as shit?

Hi all! I’m about to get my first ever council house post living in a homeless shelter. I’m disabled so I cannot work and today I found out that the council house I’ve been approved for doesn’t have flooring. I haven’t got two pennies to rub together right now since I’ve had some issues with my PIP and LWC and will be getting grants to help furnish the place (as well as facebook marketplace and freebie sites) but flooring seems to be too expensive for grant or charity help can cover.
I’ve been told that laminate and wood flooring is not allowed since it’s too loud in flats so will need to be carpet or vinyl.
Appreciate any help!

Romsey for young adults

Hi all. I’m looking into moving out by myself and my dog in Romsey. I’ve never been but will be visiting this weekend. From anyone who knows, what is it like there? I’m disabled but looking for dog walking/pet minding gigs and since i’m new to the area would be looking for friends in their early twenties. Also how accepting is it for LGBT people? I’m currently in Andover for points of reference if that also helps :) thank you
