I'm planning on revamping my office to support more built-in like storage solutions. I found that the 36" SEKTION base cabinets alongside a couple 18" SEKTION cabinets + a counter top fit damn near perfectly in the space with the 2" gap recommendation on either end. There is a matching 36" SEKTION Top cabinet with ventilation, I'm assuming meant to mount above a fridge or microwave that stacks nicely to form built-in style shelves for the space. I would put 3x MAXIMERA drawers on the base units and 2x drawers on the next level of top cabinets and UTRUSTA shelves on the higher shelves. For now no doors or anything as I'm still deciding between Drawer fronts or hidden drawers for the lower units and the upper units I will leave open to display items.

The designer is yelling at me about this because of the distance between the base and top cabinets but would there really be any issue mounting them like this? Its a great solution for the space and will give me tons of drawers and shelving for storing items and displaying things on the upper shelves.
