I made a vintage Topps collector app for my dad
I’ve been a longtime baseball fan, and I noticed my dad was having such a hard time tracking his baseball cards (what he owned, what he needed, what he wanted to upgrade). His general goal is to get every card in a set, with 1972 Topps being his favorite. He had this nasty spreadsheet that was hard to update, so I built him something way better and I want to share it with the community for free!
It’s called https://setchaser.app
Here are some key features-
- Point your phone at any vintage card, the app identifies it in about a second — no more typing card numbers
- One-tap recent eBay sales on every card (graded + raw filtered separately)
- Your whole collection in your pocket — never accidentally double-buy again
- Photo gallery of every card you own — digital binder you can show off from your phone
- Mark Own / Need / Upgrade on every card, live set completion %
- Track raw grades, PSA, BGS, SGC — know exactly what condition every card is in
The app is focused on vintage Topps sets (think 1952-1975 with some extras), but I really want this to be a community thing so if you guys have any feedback let me know, happy to make updates, add sets and improve the experience for yall!
One more thing- Free tier is generous (1 set, full eBay integration). Pro is $9.99/mo or $79.99/yr if you want unlimited sets and more scans.
