Rest Easy sweet girl

Her 18th birthday was on Wednesday, she inhaled her dinner (the lab usual), we went on her usual walk, and at 3:30am this morning she had a stroke and I had to rush her to the emergency vet 💔. The best 18 years of my life, but it all feels so sudden especially because she was perfectly normal not even 4 hours prior. It all happened so fast and she looked absolutely terrified. I just hope I made the right decision.

My beautiful girl turned 18 yesterday 🙌🏻. She’s slowed down a bit (not much, she still keeps me on my toes!) but she’s still her funny goofy self that loves her long walks, afternoons in the dog park, and stealing her little sister’s squeaky toys!

She was trained for duck hunting, but she wanted to be my best friend instead (sorry dad lol. I guess what they say is true, daughters are the most expensive 🤷🏼‍♀️)

I honestly can’t believe that when we got her I was in kindergarten, and now I’m a full blown adult with my own home with the same sweet girl greeting me at my front door ❤️

Her vet said that it doesn’t look like she’s going anywhere anytime soon, so happy 18th to my sweet Ginger Girl ❤️
