Can’t decide mythic path for first playthrough
I’m playing a Skald MC who’s been relatively Neutral to Neutral Good. I’m trying to avoid huge spoilers. I’m not the type to do multiple playthroughs so this is probably my one run. I’m struggling because:
- Based on the class progression I can see, AZATA interests me the most mechanically. Getting a mount is awesome, I’ve wanted to be a mounted skald. Sharing teamwork feats is great. A lot of the class features work well for me. BUT narratively my impression is that it’s all sunshine and rainbows and I’m worried will feel overly silly for the tone of the game.
- ANGEL seems to fit well narratively for me - just general champion of good stuff - but it seems pretty boring both mechanically and narratively at a glance.
- LICH interests me a lot in terms of being deeply practical, and I enjoy having Wenduag and Regill in my party for this reason. I think LICH could also work well for me mechanically as a Skald. But, I’m worried LICH will be comically evil; I’d want to pursue it more as a practical, ends justify the means as opposed to mustache twirling villain. I also have Seelah and Sosiel in my party and would be bummed to lose them without a very good reason (they seem like they’d be upset)
Out of all of the above it makes me lean AZATA since I don’t want to regret gameplay, but I just don’t know how to make a call. Very torn on it all. Any guidance is welcome!
