Anyone else running into welded filament in BBL refills?
Ever since Bambu changed from adhesive to ultrasonic welding for locking the bundling ties in place, it seems like every 5th roll I run (mostly PETG-HF) ends up breaking in the AMS partway through a job (and always an overnight job, naturally).
When I go to debug, what I see is that multiple coils of filament are welded together where one of those ties was, and that’s where the filament broke. It usually takes a few wraps to work through the welded parts.
Is anyone else running into the same thing?
Would be nice if they went back to the adhesive even if they had to charge us for the penny they thought they had saved.
[yes, I also opened a ticket to let them know it’s an issue]
